This is such an interesting topic with infinite thought-experiment rabbit holes. Philosophy, politics, technology and ethics all intersect. I support the utopian idea of unregulated free speech on social media. However, we know troll farms, bots and foreign governments sew seeds of misinformation designed to divide us and cause chaos. Those with money can manipulate the algorithmic amplification of ideas -- good ones and bad ones. We can not truly have a free and fair experience through social media when bad players cheat the system. OneZero published a thoughtful piece on this recently you may enjoy. I am reading a fictional book called The Paladin by David Ignatius that touches on this problem.
