This is very encouraging news. Conceptually, the planned updates seem like fantastic upgrades. My preference is to have easier access to my favorite and trusted writers and publications. A follow-driven vs algorithm driven experience should be helpful to readers and writers. I fully endorse the idea of less reliance on catchy titles.

My one concern is a potential increased complexity for writers and publications. I am excited to see and try out the new features, but a little concerned they may require too much technical expertise. Hopefully, the UI team has gone to great lengths to ensure writers do not also have to be graphic designers to continue to enjoy success on this awesome platform.
