We are seeing this in our practice as well. Many patients are getting tested at outside facilities and then having to wait almost 10 days before getting a result. To make matters worse, we have multiple cases where the test comes back negative and then a few days later they develop symptoms.

We need to reinforce that a positive test is reliable but a negative test should not give one the false sense of security after an exposure.
